Day 1 Summary: Arrive and overnight at Lagoon Beach Hotel
On arrival in Cape Town your guide will meet you at the airport with a friendly smile and warm hart, just what the docter ordered after a long flight. He will transfer you to your hotel and assist you to check in and get settled. The view from your room is absolutely amazing, it overlooks the hotel pool, the beach and ocean beyond it and Table Mountain in the distance. Enjoy a cocktail on your balcony while you marvel at the sun set and city lights come to life. You could order room service and turn in early or ask your guide for a suggestion on where you can get your favourite meals.
Day 2 Summary: Golf at Royal Cape, overnight at Lagoon Beach
Your guide will pick you up after breakfast and take you to Royal Cape Golf Course. It is the oldest course in South Africa and and #1 in the Cape Town city. Forgot your clubs? No problem, the guide has a variety to choose from. After golf he will take you to visit the famous Bo Kaap, a historic part of Cape Town with its colourful houses. But first enjoy an unforgettable home cooked meal at Biesmillah with its traditional South Africa dishes.
Day 3 Summary: Full day Cape Point, overnight at Lagoon Beach
Today you will spend sightseeing all the top attractions in and around Cape Town. Make sure you take your camera and a sunscreen because you will spend a lot of time out doors! Your first stop is at Cape Point where you will take a cable car to the top of the mountain. It is located in a nature reserve and you will see many types of plants called Fynbos, only found in a small area around Cape Town. From there you will take a scenic drive to visit Boulders Beach, a secluded beach famous for its penguin population. Then on to Hout Bay where you will catch a boat to visit Seal Island. Its the one on National Geographic with a massive seal colony and if you are lucky, you might see one of the sharks getting his own lunch. The last stop will be at the magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before you go back to your hotel.
Day 4 Summary: Golf at Metropolitan, overnight at Lagoon Beach
Enjoy breakfast and then take the short drive to Metropolitan Golf Course, located in the heart of Cape Town and next to the Soccer Stadium built in 2010. Metropolitan has been awarded the best conditioned course in Cape Town for the past 3 years in a row and it is an absolute joy. Soak up the sun and take a good look at Table Mountain from down there, because after the golf you will go to the top. Table Mountain is one of the 7 Wonders of the World and the most iconic feature in Cape Town. The views from above are unforgettable, you can see the entire city and the ocean beyond. Can you find your hotel across the bay?
Day 5 Summary: Full day Winelands, overnight at Lagoon Beach
Today you will enjoy wine, some of the best wines produced in South Africa and some famous wines. Your first stop is at the cellar of JC Le Roux where they will teach you how they make MCC sparkling wine (similar to champagne). This will be followed by their famous Nougat Paring. And since you are not driving we will have some more wine at Neethlingshof with their unbelievable Fast Food & Slow Wine paring. By now you shoul be hungry so your guide will stop at the Big Easy Restaurant for lunch, yes, that Big Easy, Ernie Els. After lunch you are going to visit his wine estate where you can sample some of his best wines and take a walk through his trophy museum. Your guide will make sure you get back to the hotel safely today.
Day 6 Summary: Golf at Pearl Valley, overnight at Aquila
After breakfast at the hotel you will check out and meet your guide at reception and transfer to Pearl Valley. It is a magnificent course, always in fantastic condition and a treat for both weekend and professional golfers. After your round you will drive to Aquila where you will be greeted with welcome drinks before your afternoon game drive. Dinner is served at the lodge and overnight in their beautiful hotel rooms overlooking the reserve.
Day 7 Summary: Safari and overnight at Aquila
Your day starts with a sunrise safari and the chance to see the famous Big 5 of South Africa. There are also many other types of game and wildlife to be viewed on your safari. On your return to the lodge, enjoy a hearty breakfast and spend the rest of your day at leisure or exploring the lodge. You could also swop one of your game drives for a horseback safari, a wonderful experience to get close to nature. Or just be lazy and take a nap or go sunbathing at the pool before your sunset safari. Dinner will be at the lodge.
Day 8 Summary: Depart
It is your last day in sunny South Africa but you have one last sunrise game drive to take part in. On your return to the lodge have breakfast and check out. Your guide will meet you at reception and transfer you to Cape Town airport. It will be a sad moment when you say good bey but we all look forward to your next visit.
