Glendower Golf Course

This course ranks the 8th position of the top 100 courses in South Africa. Glendower Golf course is challenging and said to be a test for the world’s best golfers. Ten merchants formed a company together in 1935 and bought the farm “Glendower” to establish a Country Club. The course was designed by Mr. Charles Hugh Alison, an English golf architect, and building was left to A.F. Tomsett, a professional golfer from South Africa. In the end, the club opened on March 7, 1937.

You can always count on a memorable round of golf when you combine breathtaking beauty, flawless manicures, and a location in a forested parkland paradise. Eleven of the holes involve water. Your experience is completed with lush fairways, an abundance of bunkers, and magnificent greens. Johannesburg International Airport may be reached in ten minutes.

‘’It’s one of the best I’ve ever played, very visual, really well bunkered.
We don’t get to play on many traditional courses anymore and I was delighted”.
Paul McGinley Ryder Cup Captain
