Erinvale, nestled at the foothills of the Helderberg and Hottentot Holland Mountains in Somerset West, is one of South Africa's great golfing challenges. Designed by Gary Player and the venue for the 1996 World Cup of Golf. Erinvale also hosted the SAA open in both 2003 and 2004 and will be the host to the South African Disabled Open this year. The Committee of Erinvale is pleased to announce that a limited number of golf memberships are now available to the public at this scenic Parkland's Gary Player designed course.

This true championship course is situated in Ottery, off the M-5 , within the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Approximately 20 km from the City centre and CT International Airport. With its beautifull course layout , water fitures and tall trees , this is a real challange for the competitive golfer.
The South African Open has been hosted no less than ten times, the first in 1910 as mentioned and the most recent in 1996 when Ernie Els birdied the last three holes to win by one shot. Gary Player won in 1965 when he became the first player to break 70 in all four rounds. His four-round total of 273 (69 68 67 69) was also a record for the event.
In the years 1999 to 2002 the Club hosted the Vodacom Players' Championship, the winners including Ernie Els, Trevor Immelman and Mark McNulty.
