The Kimberley Golf Club was founded in 1890. It is home to the Barney Barnato and the Freddie Tait Museum. Hosting the first Championship for South Africa in 1892. The first Professional Tournament win for Ernie Els in 1990. The formation of the SAGF renamed SAGA. The current layout was designed by Bob Grimsdell. It has something of a Jekyll & Hyde quality, a green summer appearance and a contrasting white winter look.

Build and maintained by Sishen Iron Mine and officially opened in 1970 , this masterpiece was designed by Robert Grimsdell.
